Glucose is the most common monosaccharide.
It is found in many fruits and berries, and is also formed in the body as a result of the breakdown of disaccharides and starch in food. Glucose is most quickly and easily used in the body to form glycogen, to nourish brain tissues, working muscles (including the heart muscle), to maintain the required blood sugar level and create liver glycogen stores. In all cases, with great physical stress, glucose can be used as an energy source.
In the human body, glucose is the main and most versatile source of energy for metabolic processes. Glucose provides substrate replenishment of energy costs. When it enters the human body, intravascular osmotic pressure increases, the flow of fluid from tissues into the blood increases, metabolic processes accelerate, the antitoxic function of the liver improves, the contractile activity of the heart muscle increases, blood vessels dilate, diuresis increases. Glucose stores are stored in the cells of many tissues in the form of glycogen. Entering the process of glycolysis, glucose is metabolized to pyruvate or lactate, under aerobic conditions, pyruvate is completely metabolized to carbon dioxide and water with the formation of energy in the form of ATP. The end products of the complete oxidation of glucose are excreted by the lungs (carbon dioxide) and the kidneys (water).
Glucose also serves as a "vehicle" for better absorption of creatine monohydrate, because we all know that creatine is best absorbed with elevated levels of insulin in the blood.
Take creatine monohydrate along with glucose for maximum results.
One serving from a dietary supplement contains 25 grams (1 tablespoon = 10-12 grams of glucose).
The substance is recommended to be taken in the morning on an empty stomach, during a workout in the form of a cocktail or before sports. Dry glucose is mixed with water, juice or any other drink. The dosage depends on the needs of the body and the desired result. Often glucose is used as one of the components of a gainer .
