Description
Puritan's Pride - Lutein Dietary Supplement - Formulated to support good vision and eye health. Contains zeaxanthin lutein - the main pigment of the yellow spot of the retina, which protects against the aggressive spectrum of rays. The main role of lutein is to “filter” the harmful ultraviolet and blue range of solar radiation, protect retinal cells from damage, reduce the risk of exposure leading to macular degeneration of the retina and loss of vision. A very large need for additional lutein is for those who spend a long time in front of a computer monitor. There is even such a term as "computer-visual syndrome" (CCS), which manifests itself in fatigue and dry eyes, tearing, and headaches.
The lutein accumulated in the macula acts as a protective barrier, since it shields 80% of the rays.
