The use of Lean Dessert Protein Shake between main meals and as a supplement to the main meal ensures that your muscles will never lack building material (amino acids). A multi-functional micellar protein matrix with a gradual release of nutrients contains both fast and slow release proteins. This matrix is able to supply nutrients (amino acids) and, as a result, promote nitrogen retention for as much as 7 hours! Glutamine peptides serve as an effective source of glutamine for the body and provide a balance of muscle proteins. Digestive enzymes (Aminogen®, Papain) promote optimal protein digestion and significantly improve the supply of amino acids to muscle tissue. MCT and EFA. MCTs (medium chain triglycerides) are a source of energy in the form of fat. They contribute to the oxidation (“burning”) of subcutaneous fat and regulate appetite. MCTs are rapidly absorbed from the small intestine, from where they go directly to the liver. EFAs are beneficial fatty acids that cannot be synthesized within the body and therefore must be supplied from outside with food. EFAs also promote cardiovascular health.
