Description
Now Foods - Beta 1.3/1.6-D-Glucan contains a bioactive carbohydrate derived from the cell wall of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, commonly known as baker's yeast.
Research has shown that yeast-derived beta-glucan can interact with certain immune cells, including those found in gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT). KALT is located in the intestines and plays an important role in maintaining a healthy immune system.
Beta-glucan is an immunomodulator that improves the biological response of the body. The action is manifested in an increase in the functionality of macrophages and lymphocytes. Accelerates growth and activates immunocompetent cells, prolonging their vital activity. Beta-glucans are not produced on their own in the body. Requires intake with food or nutritional supplements. Used as a prophylactic or adjuvant in the fight against diseases.
